Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. South Fork Bulldogs

Port St. Lucie hasn't had much luck against South Fork recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Port St. Lucie Jaguars will face off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Port St. Lucie was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to St. Edward's. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 78-15 loss at the hands of Treasure Coast. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.

Port St. Lucie will have to keep a close watch on Molly Nicholas and Vivianna Morales, a pair of players who had a big impact on South Fork's prior game. Nicholas posted 12 points, while Morales put up two points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. Morales is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Port St. Lucie's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
