Basketball Recap: Hamilton Christian Takes a Loss

Hamilton Christian managed to keep up with Washington-Marion until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Hamilton Christian Warriors came up short against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians, falling 52-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since December 27, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Hamilton Christian lost, don't look at Javon Vital. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Vital a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christopher Rideau Jr, who posted seven points.

Washington-Marion got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was LANDON DUHON out in front who scored 15 points. KHALI CELESTINE was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hamilton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Washington-Marion, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11.

Hamilton Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-26 win against Basile on the 4th. As for Washington-Marion, they have also already played their next game, a 63-41 victory against Leesville on the 4th.
