Basketball Recap: Peekskill Takes a Loss

Peekskill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 60-43 bruising from the Port Chester Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 66-51 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Port Chester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Faraci, who went 10-for-23 on her way to 20 points and four steals. Faraci has become a key player for Port Chester: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 15 points, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Elise Thomas, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.

Peekskill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Port Chester, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Peekskill nor Port Chester have any future games scheduled.
