Mayfield is headed out to face Schoharie after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Mekeel Christian Academy 73-36. The Panthers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 24th (when they won 68-29).

Mayfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abigail Powers, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. Everything came up roses for Mayfield against Schoharie when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 69-21 victory. In that game, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of 42-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
