Soccer Game Preview: Lockport vs. Benet Academy

The Lockport Porters will square off against the Benet Academy Redwings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockport is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.

Lockport's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bradley-Bourbonnais with a sharp 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Lockport, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Krystian Rafacz and Orlando Dominguez scored all three of Lockport's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Benet Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a goal and slipped past Metea Valley 1-0. Benet Academy found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Declan Crist and Ruslan Holubec were both handed yellow cards.

Benet Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-4-3. As for Lockport, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2-2.
