Volleyball Recap: Lake George Takes a Loss

Lake George came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the South Glens Falls Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-10.

Madeline Gilles paced Lake George's offense, picking up four kills. Gilles got some help from Addison Merrigan and her four assists.

South Glens Falls was led to victory by Natalie Young and Grace Smith. Young had six aces and one assist, while Smith had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Smith has posted since September 6th.

Lake George's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for South Glens Falls, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-7-3.

Lake George has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Granville on the 1st. As for South Glens Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Schuylerville on the 30th.
