Macomb came tearing into Saturday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 48-36 victory over the Kewanee Boilermakers. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Boilermakers are ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Macomb pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Kewanee, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Macomb will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bushnell-Prairie City at 7:00 p.m. As for Kewanee, they will head out on the road to square off against Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kewanee is facing Ottawa at the right time seeing as Ottawa is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
