Basketball Game Preview: Beaumont Cougars vs. Rancho Verde Mustangs

The Beaumont Cougars just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Rancho Verde Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Beaumont sitting on four straight wins and Rancho Verde on three.

While Beaumont didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 66-53 victory over Carter on Friday.

Meanwhile, Rancho Verde beat Silverado 73-60 on Thursday.

Rancho Verde's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Beaumont, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Beaumont came up short against Rancho Verde when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 49-45. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
