Tomales and Calistoga are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Braves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tomales will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Tomales is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Laytonville on Monday. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by exactly ten runs.
Nate Ballou made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Tomales is undefeated when Ballou posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Tomales got a massive performance out of Erick Tamez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Tamez a new career-high. Stran Stevens was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Tomales always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Calistoga was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Willits, falling 13-1.
Tomales' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Calistoga, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
