It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Parkland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Liberty Hurricanes, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted against the Hurricanes since May 27, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Will Dobil, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ben Weninger, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Parkland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-5.

Parkland has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Easton Area on the 24th. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-5 victory against East Stroudsburg South on the 23rd.
