Basketball Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Bravo Knights
Lincoln and Bravo are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Lincoln Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Lincoln will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by Eagle Rock 88-32.
Meanwhile, Bravo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Marshall, falling 95-62. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Bravo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Julian Ojeda posted 16 points and six rebounds. Adrian Arriaga was another key player, putting up nine points.
Even though they lost, Bravo was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Bravo's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
