Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Wells' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Cheyenne Wells was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Stratton Eagles on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Cheyenne Wells was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Stratton work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 27-25.

Stratton found their leader in sophomore Kaylynn Brandon, who had three digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cheyenne Wells fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne Wells will venture away from home to challenge Idalia at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stratton, they will welcome Deer Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
