After losing to Merritt Island the last time they met, Heritage decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Heritage Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Merritt Island Mustangs on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Merritt Island, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Heritage will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eau Gallie at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Merritt Island, they will be home for the holidays to greet Satellite at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Satellite is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.
