Volleyball Recap: Rangeview Takes a Loss

Rangeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Regis Groff Fusion, falling 3-0. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Fusion from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While Rangeview was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Regis Groff's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-21.

Aidan Johnson paced Rangeview's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Felipe Prieto Suarez and his 11 assists. Zach Tapparo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rangeview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Regis Groff, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Rangeview will head out to challenge Highlands Ranch at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Regis Groff, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Denver East at 7:00 p.m. The Fusion are on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Angels a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
