Softball Preview: Waterloo Bulldogs vs. DuQuoin Indians
The Waterloo Bulldogs will take on the DuQuoin Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Waterloo's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while DuQuoin has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Aidan Dintelman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Sam Juelfs was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grayce Mayer, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Waterloo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland only posted a batting average of .148.
Meanwhile, DuQuoin lost 8-1 to Trico on Friday.
DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Waterloo, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
