Recap: Camden County Bruins vs. Pasquotank County Panthers
The Camden County Bruins posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pasquotank County 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Camden County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xzavior Wiggins, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was J'ron Pendleton, who scored 13 points along with six assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, Pasquotank County still got an impressive performance from Tristan Peterson, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. Jayon Harris was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Camden County and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for Pasquotank County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Camden County will be playing at home against Manteo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manteo is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Pasquotank County, they will head out on the road to challenge Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pasquotank County in North Carolina (Northeastern is ranked 158th, while Pasquotank County is ranked 460th).
