Basketball Game Preview: New Diana Eagles vs. North Lamar Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the New Diana Eagles will jump right back in to play the North Lamar Panthers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

New Diana is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since January 19th on Friday. They lost 77-53 to Chisum. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Lamar had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rebels as they made off with a 69-43 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Rebels are ranked 1175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for New Diana, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
