Volleyball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside Warriors. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lincoln County sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 15-7.

Jillian Starcher paced Lincoln County's offense, picking up seven kills. Starcher really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. Abby Roy controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Riverside, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Lincoln County has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Nitro on the 9th. As for Riverside, they will challenge Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
