Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy entered their contest against Shafter on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thunderbirds lost 3-0 to the Generals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thunderbirds have suffered since August 19th.

While Kennedy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Macy Ulloa, who had 11 digs.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-2. As for Shafter, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy is set to square off against their familiar foe Taft at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shafter will challenge rival Wasco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
