Volleyball Game Preview: Harbor Creek Huskies vs. McDowell Trojans + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Harbor Creek Huskies and the McDowell Trojans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harbor Creek has five straight wins, McDowell has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Erie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Harbor Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Bailey Sanfrotello. The Huskies came out on top against the Royals by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Sanfrotello, who had 27 assists and eight aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

While Harbor Creek might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Erie scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20.

Harbor Creek's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Addison Lucas, who had nine assists and six digs, and Aubrey Pierce, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Lucas has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Harbor Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, McDowell didn't have quite enough to beat General McLane on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

McDowell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harbor Creek, their record is now 13-2.

Harbor Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against McDowell in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
