Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central's last matchup with McHenry could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Rockets lost 8-2 to the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered since April 13, 2024.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Hintz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for McHenry, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season.

Central will challenge Galesburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. McHenry will be paying especially close attention to the Rockets' game: after the Rockets face off against the Silver Streaks, they'll take on McHenry again at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
