Softball Recap: Nimitz Comes Up Short

Nimitz lost against Spring back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Nimitz lost 14-2 to Spring. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Antinia Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Ruiz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Spring, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nimitz will take on rival Dekaney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spring is set to square off against their familiar foe Aldine at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
