Volleyball Recap: Forsyth Central Takes a Loss

Forsyth Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Union Grove Wolverines by a score of 2-1.

Hollie Schimweg paced Forsyth Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Schimweg got some help from Mackenzie Porter and her 17 assists. Abigail Ali controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Forsyth Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Union Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-1-1 record this season.

Forsyth Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Westminster on the 23rd. As for Union Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against South Effingham on the 23rd.
