Basketball Recap: LaSalle-Peru Takes a Loss

LaSalle-Peru was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morris Redskins. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Redskins are ranked 81st).

LaSalle-Peru's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Morris, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaSalle-Peru has already played their next matchup (against Streator), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Morris has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Kankakee.
