The Weld Central Rebels lost against the Sterling Tigers last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Weld Central took a hard 52-37 fall against Sterling. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Weld Central has scored all season.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Branch, who scored 18 points. Branch has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times he's played. Elias Cornelius was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals and two blocks.
Sterling got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colin Linn out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Knuppel, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Weld Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Sterling, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
