Baseball Recap: West Middlesex Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

West Middlesex waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Reynolds Raiders with a sharp 21-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 back in April.

West Middlesex got a massive performance out of Nolan Kayser, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Tyler Blanton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

West Middlesex was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in four consecutive contests.

West Middlesex's record now sits at 11-3. As for Reynolds, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Middlesex will venture away from home to square off against Sharpsville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Big Reds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Reynolds, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilmington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Greyhounds have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
