Basketball Game Preview: Hope Blue Wave vs. Pilgrim Patriots

Hope is 0-6 against Pilgrim since January of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Hope Blue Wave will venture away from home to take on the Pilgrim Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hope is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They strolled past Woonsocket with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.

Meanwhile, Pilgrim waltzed into their game last Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-42 W against the Eagles.

The victory got Hope back to even at 11-11. As for Pilgrim, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Hope came up short against Pilgrim when the teams last played back in January, falling 50-37. Can Hope avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
