Basketball Game Preview: Hebbronville Longhorns vs. Bishop Badgers

Hebbronville is 0-9 against Bishop since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Hebbronville Longhorns will welcome the Bishop Badgers at 7:30 p.m.

Hebbronville lost 73-48 to Santa Gertrudis Academy on Tuesday. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop). They walked away with a 90-83 win over San Diego on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Badgers who have now won eight games in a row.

Hebbronville better keep an eye on Kristian Ramos. He was instrumental in Bishop's win, dropping a double-double on 44 points and 13 boards. Ramos' evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Garcia, who posted 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Bishop has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. As for Hebbronville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.

Hebbronville was dealt a bruising 80-38 loss at the hands of Bishop in their previous meeting on January 7th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ramos, who went 10 for 14 en route to 25 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.
