Basketball Recap: Randolph Comes Up Short

After flying high against Blooming Prairie last Thursday, Randolph came back down to earth. The Randolph Rockets were outmatched by the Hayfield Vikings and fell 82-48. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Hayfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Randolph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-48 defeat against Bethlehem Academy on the 4th. As for Hayfield, they will venture away from home to take on Houston at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hayfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Houston likes a good challenge.
