Baseball Recap: Calais Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Calais's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Calais saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah White, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. White is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Calais' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Washington Academy, their record now sits at 6-1.

Looking ahead, Calais will face off against Shead at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Washington Academy, they will square off against Mount View at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
