Howard Tech won the last time they faced Sequoyah and things went their way on Friday too. The Hustlin' Tigers snuck past the Chiefs with a 20-16 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Howard Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fletcher Williams, who threw for 164 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Williams racked up 23 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Christopher Bradley also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Howard Tech's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sequoyah, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howard Tech will face off against Cumberland County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoyah, they will square off against Signal Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
