Football Recap: Doherty Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Doherty played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Pueblo West Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Cyclones are ranked 26th).

Jordyn Marschall threw for 111 yards and one touchdown. Levi Colvin was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

Doherty is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Pueblo West, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Doherty will challenge Montrose at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Pueblo West, they will take on Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
