Baseball Recap: Raymond's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Raymond's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Port Gibson Blue Waves 12-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Raymond got a massive performance out of Xavier Conley, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three doubles. Another player making a difference was Carlton Davis, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Raymond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Raymond's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Port Gibson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymond will head out to take on McLaurin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Port Gibson, they will challenge Raymond at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
