Basketball Recap: Needles Takes a Loss

Needles's tournament run continued when they took on Winslow on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Winslow found their leader in freshman Jacoby Chee, who posted 18 points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Anthony Nezzie, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points.

Needles' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Winslow, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Needles will be home for the holidays to greet White Pine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Winslow, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Johns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Redskins at the right time seeing as the Redskins are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
