Jackson County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sayre Spartans, sneaking past 71-68. While the Generals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jackson County's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Sayre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will host Trinity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sayre, they will challenge Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
