Volleyball Recap: Andrew Gets the Win

Andrew won the last time they faced Willowbrook and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Thunderbolts skirted past the Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunderbolts have posted since April 19th.

Andrew was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (67-62), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Scott Dinnon paced Andrew's offense, picking up ten kills. Dinnon were helped by Sean Gagen and Aidan Aguayo, who contributed 11 assists each.

Andrew's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-18. As for Willowbrook, they dropped their record down to 4-23 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Andrew has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Sandburg on the 8th. As for Willowbrook, they will be playing at home against Tournament Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
