Soccer Recap: Southwest Onslow Comes Up Short

Southwest Onslow lost against Clinton on October 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Stallions lost 7-0 to the Dark Horses. While losing is never fun, Southwest Onslow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Clinton are ranked 43rd).

Southwest Onslow has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Clinton, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Southwest Onslow will face off against Graham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Jack Britt on the 30th.
