Salem Academy Charter proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Panthers. This was payback for the Navigator, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Salem Academy Charter was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (98-92), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-18, 25-21, 12-25, 15-9.

Salem Academy Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem Academy Charter will host Excel Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
