Football Recap: Moody Skates Past Center Point with Ease + How To Watch

Moody's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Center Point Eagles 53-0. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moody to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Lowery, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Blue Devils are undefeated when Lowery posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Kevin James helped Lowery out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and a pair of scores.

Moody was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Moody didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Owen Randall, Caden Cofield, and Derrick Price Jr picked up one apiece. Randall is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Moody got some further help from Cam Mallory: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Moody's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Center Point, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Moody and Center Point will both be playing Leeds the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Greenwave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
