Baseball Game Preview: Northside Christian Lions vs. Liberty Christian Academy Eagles

Northside Christian is 0-3 against Liberty Christian Academy since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Northside Christian has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Genoa Christian Academy hit Northside Christian with a six-run fifth inning last Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions came up short against Genoa Christian Academy, falling 13-3.

Northside Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Genoa Christian Academy on Monday, but Genoa Christian Academy never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Genoa Christian Academy. The Eagles haven't had any issues with Genoa Christian Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Northside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Northside Christian couldn't quite get it done against Liberty Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
