Recap: Fairview vs. Greeley West
The Fairview Knights shot 39.29% from beyond the arc for 11 threes to get past the Greeley West Spartans this past Friday. Fairview steamrolled past Greeley 72-31 at home. That 41-point margin sets a new team best for the Knights on the season.
The contest started off well for Fairview, whose offense put up 38 first-half points. Greeley wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 38-17 heading into the break. Fairview's offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win.
It was another big night for Fairview's senior Izzy Munson, who had 17 points and six assists. This also makes it three games in a row in which Munson has had at least four steals. Sophomore Kailey Page was another key contributor, picking up ten points and five assists in addition to six boards.
Fairview's win brought them up to 13-7. This is the second loss in a row for Greeley and nudges their record down to 9-12.
The Knights have the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome Boulder on Monday. Unlike Fairview, Boulder will be stumbling in off of a loss. Greeley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Boulder. Greeley has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
