Volleyball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Bonita Springs last Tuesday, Southwest Florida Christian came back down to earth. The King's took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neumann Celtics on Tuesday. If the King's were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Celtics when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 21-25, 25-22.

Gigi Noah paced Southwest Florida Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Noah got some help from Joy Youngblood and her 15 assists. Youngblood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Neumann got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nikki Reinert out in front who had nine digs and three aces. Ivanna Karacosta was another key player, getting 15 digs and three assists.

With the loss, Southwest Florida Christian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3. As for Neumann, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Southwest Florida Christian will face off against Babcock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Neumann, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against First Baptist Academy on the 4th.
