Flagler and Genoa-Hugo/Karval are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Flagler came up short against Stratton and fell 3-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Flagler ultimately came up short, they really made Stratton work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Genoa-Hugo/Karval lost 3-0 to Hi-Plains on Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-15.

Flagler's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Flagler might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Genoa-Hugo/Karval when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
