Volleyball Recap: East Kentwood Takes a Loss

East Kentwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the St. Johns Redwings. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redwings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

East Kentwood was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15.

East Kentwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for St. Johns, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, East Kentwood will challenge Grandville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Johns, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Catholic Central on the 6th.
