            After both having extra time off, the Flushing Red Devils and the Newtown Pioneers will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Flushing put up the most  runs they have all season  last Wednesday. They put the hurt on John Adams with a sharp  18-9 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Newtown, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Wednesday. They skirted past Lane  17-16. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Newtown pushed their record up to 4-1 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 19.5 runs over those games. As for Flushing, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
