Parrish Community fell victim to Venice and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 9-0. The Bulls' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Parrish Community got a good showing from Brycen Volz, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Volz has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

Parrish Community's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Venice, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Parrish Community and Venice will both be playing Riverview Sarasota the next time they take the field. The Bulls will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
