Independence came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Eleanor McMain Mustangs 60-46. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Mustangs are ranked 296th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Independence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Haymann Milton, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Derrick Dupard, who earned 17 points.

Independence's record is now 19-1. As for Eleanor McMain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
