Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Mcnicholas' Winning Streak Snapped at 13 Games

It was a good run, but Archbishop McNicholas unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

While Archbishop McNicholas ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 25-21.

Archbishop McNicholas' loss dropped their record down to 19-2. As for St. Ursula Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Archbishop McNicholas will square off against Talawanda at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Ursula Academy, they will challenge Kings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
