Football Recap: Lambert Find Success + How To Watch

Lambert proved they can win big back in September (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Atlanta Warriors, sneaking past 33-31. For the Longhorns, this counts as revenge for the 24-21 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Lambert can attribute much of their success to Ethan Daughtery, who threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (91 yards to be exact) went to Nathaniel Fernander.

North Atlanta's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Weston Goodman, who threw for 276 yards and four TDs. Jack Ellenburg was Goodman's top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Lambert is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points over those games. As for North Atlanta, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lambert is set to challenge their familiar foe Alpharetta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Atlanta will take on rival North Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
