It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hayfield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won 11 matchups in a row.

Quinn Snyder made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jack Ross was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bueno, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Hayfield's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

As of now, neither Hayfield nor the Colonials have any future games scheduled.
